Our comprehensive eye examinations are performed by our highly skilled doctors, not by technicians. The doctor will pain-stakingly determine your proper glasses prescription (and contact lens parameters when indicated).
Not only can the doctors detect diseases of the eye, but signs of other conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis. Conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts, if detected early, have a better visual prognosis, which stresses the importance of annual comprehensive eye exams.
Children are evaluated for eye muscle coordination problems which often can cause difficulty in school. When indicated, our doctors perform dilated exams where special drops are put in the eyes to allow for a more thorough view of the inside tissues of the eyes, and can also give a more accurate glasses prescription in young children.
At Drs. Carrigan, Estes, & Kennedy's office, your eye and visual health is our number one priority.
